WHAT ARE

Certified
translations

tw-12

A certified translation is a translation authenticated by the signature and seal of the official translator and attached to a certification issued by the same translator or translation service provider.

This certification is called Certification of Translation Accuracy

CERTIFICATE OF TRANSLATION

ACCURACY: Specifications

In the first part of the accuracy certificate, the translator certifies their qualifications and memberships (for example: registration in the CTU register of a court or as a member of AITI/ANITI or another Italian or international organization as a professional translator), as well as their competence in the translation languages. Following this, the translator certifies that the translation is accurate, i.e., truthful and conforming to the original document. At the bottom of the certificate, finally, the translator affixes their signature and stamp. This certificate is usually drafted in the target language. As it is a document issued by a company or a professional, moreover, it is not subject to any stamp duty, is not a public document, and does not have official status, unlike a sworn translation in court.

CERTIFICATE OF TRANSLATION
ACCURACY: What is it?
The Certificate of Translation Accuracy, as the name implies, certifies the accuracy and authenticity of the translation. To this end, it is filled out by the translator with their personal details and information on any professional qualifications. It is usually issued on letterhead with the contact details of the translator or the company providing the translation.
